Gobble Gobble Dinner Party

Thanksgiving 2007Bill and I have been invited to have Thanksgiving dinner this year with our friends, Tina and Jack Mundy. She's entertaining her family as well as a few friends, and I offered to set the table for her using my collection of Majolica turkey charger plates, grape-leaf dinner plates and Fitz & Floyd pumpkin soup tureens.
I decided to play around with the dinner setting early so I'd be prepared to set a table for up to 20 people. I added my Riedel wine glasses and Kate Spade champagne and water goblets for a touch of glimmer. Some rust-colored roses add a touch of elegance.

A belated 2007 update:
A Mundy ThanksgivingThe Thanksgiving dinner hosted by our friends Tina and Jack Mundy and their daughter Madison was absolutely wonderful.
I decorated the kitchen table for eight while Tina and her Mom worked on dinner and the guys watched football (of course). For a late-afternoon supper, Tina decided to use my collection of turkey dinner plates with the majolica gold chargers. And with the addition of Tina's crystal wine glasses, the table sparkled in the candlelight as the sun was setting.
We noshed on appetizers, drank sparkling wine, ate dinner, and then briefly thought about dessert before we all moved away from the table! But later that evening, dessert was served and devoured by all.... Thank you, Mundys for your friendship and hospitality.
